SYNOPSIS:

During the 1939 Defensive War, Polish submarine ORP Orzel was on the Baltic Sea, although there were some problems onboard. When the ship entered the harbour of Tallin, Estonia, in order to go ashore commander Kloczkowski, she was unlawfully interned. The command then was taken by Jan Grudzinski. The new commander was one of the organisers of an escape. They made it on the 17 September. ORP Orzel put to the open sea. The submarine had neither maps nor navigational instruments onboard. Absolutely defenceless, went through Danish straits heading for United Kingdom. The journey over the North Sea started on 7 October and after a week she luckily reached the Scottish shore.
