SYNOPSIS:
Comedy pivoting on the absurdities of life in Poland in the 1970s. A director general of a state enterprise which is about to collapse learns that a girl he met at the Polish embassy in Paris and had an affair with is pregnant. He decides to divorce his wife of many years and marry the daughter of a Communist party dignitary, a move that is supposed help him keep his post at the company. He resolves that the best way to do so might be photos evidencing her infidelity. Consequently, he asks a former school friend of his and a looser to do the job. Soon after returning from another business trip to Hungary, he learns that he is no longer the company’s head. His former deputy is now the boss and has married the dignitary’s pregnant daughter. He also learns that his wife filed for divorce, inspired by the sizzling love affair she had with the lucky photographer.
