SYNOPSIS:

A story of the extraordinary life and death of the blessed Edyta Stein (1891-1942). A pupil and later on assistant to philosopher Edmund Husserl, authoress of numerous philosophical and theological papers, she was born to a Jewish family. At mature age she became Catholic. Shortly after her conversion, she joined Carmelite nuns and adopted her new name: Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. She was an outstanding mystic and a tragic martyr. She perished in the Auschwitz death camp.
